Melonome ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Melonome platform, including our website at melonome.com and any associated mobile applications.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information — when you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Usage Data — we collect the album ratings, reviews, song ratings, and collection data you choose to log on the platform.
• Profile Information — any bio, avatar, or profile details you voluntarily provide.
• Technical Data — basic usage data including pages visited and actions taken, used solely to improve the platform.

We use your information to operate and maintain the Melonome platform, display your profile, ratings, and reviews to other users, generate your taste profile and monthly wrap, send notifications for likes, comments, and follows, and improve and develop new features.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Melonome uses the following third party services:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
• Spotify API — used solely for album search and metadata, we do not access your Spotify account, listening history, or any personal Spotify data.
• Google OAuth — used as an optional sign-in method, we only receive your name and email address.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances: with service providers necessary to operate the platform, if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a merger or acquisition with notice provided to users.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@melonome.com.

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@melonome.com.

Melonome is intended for users aged 13 and older. By creating an account and using Melonome, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@melonome.com.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the platform. Continued use of Melonome after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
